Acute toxicity (oral or intravenous iron)

Iron/iron binding capacity (iron must be performed urgently). See Table 3 Interpretation of the results of iron studies
  • Vomiting
  • Shock
Creatinine, urea.
  • Hyperglycaemia
Glucose.
  • Leucocytosis
FBC.
  • Anaphylaxis (parenteral iron preparations)
