Application

Diagnosis and monitoring of progression of neurological involvement in leukaemia and lymphoproliferative disorders.

Interpretation

Increased CSF levels, relative to serum levels, are found with CNS involvement in acute lymphoblastic leukaemia and non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

Increased levels are seen with severe neurological impairment in multiple sclerosis.
