Investigation of disorders of copper metabolism, particularly Wilson’s disease.
High urinary copper is found in Wilson’s disease and other copper toxicity states, eg, Indian childhood cirrhosis.
It is also increased in other diseases affecting copper excretion, eg, primary biliary cirrhosis.
